Good to know:
E numbers on motorcycle accessories mean that these parts are approved for use on public roads. Parts with an E number do not need to by approved by a vehicle test centre (e.g. TÜV in Germany).
Unlike type approval for Germany (ABE), the E number is valid across the whole of Europe, i.e. including for vehicles registered outside Germany.
