Descriere LSL Blanking Plug to deactivate the
exhaust gas recirculation (EGR)
Kaboom! Lots of people who own an air-cooled Triumph Bonneville, Thruxton or Scrambler with fuel injection know all about it. It comes about when the factory-installed EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) causes uncombusted mixture residues to be fed into the airbox - much to the delight of the Twins, which greet the inflow with a loud banging noise. The solution: The blanking plug set from LSL for Triumph Twins.
This set enables you to deactivate the EGR so that you can change down through the gears without waking the whole neighbourhood!
The set contains all the parts you need for removing the EGR line and blanking off the cylinder head afterwards.
The screws are made of black anodised aluminium and are inserted to the right and left of the spark plug in place of the chrome pipes. The plastic plugs are used to blank off the airbox ports.
Another advantage for you is that the actual air/fuel situation is made clearer, enabling you to achieve an optimal mix ratio.
The only downside is that
the use of EGR blanking plugs is not permitted under German Road Traffic Regulations because they alter the emission levels.
