Ilmberger lower motor guard
- The front of the lower carbon motor guard for the R 1200 GS (LC) has been extended upward and enlarged in order to ensure better protection against dirt and flying stones.
- Weight of just approx. 430 g!
- The lower carbon motor guard for the BMW R 1200 GS (LC) replaces the original component, while using the original fastening points.
- The key features are weight saving (usually approx. 70% lighter than the OEM component) and greater rigidity.
- In accordance with the latest guidelines, the carbon part is manufactured entirely from prepreg (see FAQ) material using an autoclave. Then, as is usual for us, it is given a clear plastic coating for protection against environmental influences.
- This plastic coating is far superior to the clear lacquers normally used in terms of the level of protection, scratch-resistance and durability.
- But it is not only the technical specifications of the coating that are outstanding. It also accentuates the three-dimensional look of the carbon structure.
