The key features are weight saving (usually approx. 70% lighter than the OEM component) and greater rigidity. In accordance with the latest guidelines, the carbon part is manufactured entirely from prepreg material using an autoclave. Then, as is usual with Ilmberger products, it is given a clear plastic coating for protection against environmental influences. This plastic coating is far superior to the clear lacquers normally used in terms of the level of protection, scratch-resistance and durability. But it is not only the technical specifications of the coating that are outstanding. It also accentuates the three-dimensional look of the carbon structure.
