BUCK SENTRY

An outdoor knife has to stand up to some harsh treatment. So it's no good if a knife like this breaks, becomes blunt or starts to rust the first time you use it for something a bit more demanding! The fixed-blade knife *Sentry* in the tactical range from Buck is very sturdy and reliable. Buck makes the *Sentry* at its plant and company headquarters in Post Falls, Idaho.

The knife is equipped with a *full tang clip point* partially serrated blade made of corrosion-resistant 420 HC steel with a black oxide coating. The grippy nylon handle shells in Kryptek Highlander design are injection-moulded. The handle has two wrist lanyards at the end.
The knife comes with a M.O.L.L.E (MOdular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment) compatible sheath and can be combined with suitable clothing and carrying systems.

Very interesting:

420 HC steel is Buck's standard blade material because it combines the wear resistance of a high-strength carbon steel with the corrosion resistance of stainless steel. Add to this the special Buck heat treatment process, and you have an extremely user-friendly blade that offers both outstanding edge retention and excellent corrosion resistance plus a high degree of hardness and durability. Furthermore, this process produces a blade that is very easy to resharpen. A Rockwell hardness of 58 Rc is achieved.

Serration:
The serration gives greater cutting power, which is especially useful when cutting wires and cables.
