Classic motorbikes and some older models from the 70s and 80s benefit from a small dose of lead in the fuel in these days of lead-free motoring. Unlike modern motorcycles, the valve seats in these older engines are softer, and the lead in the fuel acts almost like a shock absorber. The engine will "knock" less if it is run on leaded petrol. The answer is Motorex Valve Guard, the fuel additive for lead-free regular and premium petrol (gasoline).
This additive does the antiknock and lubricating job of the lead, thus protecting the valve seats. At the same time, it prevents deposits in the combustion chamber.
