With some Gilles Tooling FXR (Factor-X) footrest systems, you also need to order a model-specific legalisation kit, as this is part of the TÜV component test certificate in Germany. The footrest systems to which this applies are indicated by the footnote (4).
Although it is possible to use the footrest system without the installation kit, this will invalidate the type approval, so it is not permissible on public roads!
